Rooted Giving x Made With Love
This past January, we teamed up with Chef Ben Kramer and his team to raise money for his charity Made with Love.
Chef Ben Kramer is a nationally recognized chef who has played a major role in shaping the culinary identity of Western Canada and putting Winnipeg on the map as one of North America’s most exciting food cities. From intimate brunches and private in-home dinners to large-scale conferences serving thousands, he brings the same passion and philosophy to every table. His approach is simple but powerful: showcase local, sustainable, and organic ingredients whenever possible and elevate them with creativity, bold flavour, and a touch of imagination.
In early 2020, when the pandemic hit and food became very difficult to obtain for our most vulnerable populations in Winnipeg, Made with Love was born. Chef Ben and his team started this charity for one simple mission: to help feed those facing food insecurity with dignity, care and compassion. Made with Love has grown into a community-driven initiative that transforms a $10 donation into a freshly prepared, nourishing meal for vulnerable community members.

This past January, we teamed up with Chef Ben for our first Rooted Giving initiative in support of Made with Love.
Rooted Giving is how we turn our values at TCB into action. It’s our way of giving back to the community that supports us every day through thoughtful, local efforts that truly make a difference.
These initiatives are grounded in who we are and what we believe in. From lending a hand to neighbouring organizations to supporting causes close to home, Rooted Giving is about showing up, pitching in, and investing in the place we’re proud to call home. Because at the end of the day, we don’t just brew here, we live here, we work here, and we’re committed to helping our community thrive right alongside us.
From January 1st-31st, 2026, $10.00 from each Made with Love Pizza sold in the TCB Taproom was donated to the charity.
The support was overwhelming. Our community not only showed up but made a huge difference. 450 Made with Love Pizzas were sold during the month which allowed us to donate $4050.00 to Chef Ben and the Made with Love team.
Because of the generosity from our community, the Made with Love team was able to produce 564 meals for Main Street Project. These meals get distributed to those who experience challenges with food insecurity throughout Winnipeg, providing a nourishing and comforting meal.
