It is an exciting time at Trans Canada Brewing (TCB), and we are looking for a motivated individual to join our team in the position of Accounting Clerk. In addition to the position’s core responsibilities, you will be expected to be involved with the many activities and initiatives present with a small locally owned business.

    Job Description:

    • Produce Daily/Weekly/Monthly Sales Reporting

    • Process customer invoices and remittances

    • Weekly cash out reconciliation

    • Process bills from vendors

    • Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements

    • Prepare weekly EFT remittances

    • Square and Ekos item maintenance

    • Month end duties including bank reconciliation, prepaids, and amortization journal entries

    • GST/PST/Excise Tax reporting and remittance

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Flexible and adaptable to the needs of a dynamic team and environment

    • Understanding of the value of working in a team environment spanning across departments

    • The ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business

    • Post-secondary education an asset

    • 1-2 years previous accounting experience

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    • Experience with QuickBooks, Square POS, and EKOS considered as asset

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Be organized, energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to work within a small team with a positive can-do attitude

    Job Description:

    • Working alongside our marketing team to support our marketing and communications initiatives, grow sales, and provide outstanding beer experiences.

    • Advance our online presence including our social media accounts, TCB website and online store, and newsletter communications.

    • Build, execute, and support launch strategies, events that help shape the success of our brands. 

    • Work with other teams to build and execute marketing material needs across departments.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience working in marketing and communications field.

    • Experience with e-commerce and digital analytics.

    • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

    • Graphic design, and digital marketing (social media & website SEO) experience are major assets. 

    • Experience with photography, videography, and editing are a plus.

    We are looking for a driven and positive individual with exceptional customer service experience to fill the role of the Taproom Assistant Leader Position. The Assistant Leader is responsible for overseeing daily operations for our taproom, kitchen, retail store, and onsite banquets/events.

    Job Description

    • Oversee the daily operations of the Taproom

    • Leading the team in providing exceptional service for all guests

    • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen - primarily closing shift but not limited to

    • Oversee the daily operations and sales of the General Store

    • Organize and facilitate private in-house events (e.g., anniversaries, birthdays, meetings, etc.)

    • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment

    • Ensure proper closing duties.

    • Responsible for cash out and locking the building.

    • Maintain Store appearance and ensure adherence to merchandising standards

    • Plan and execute in-store promotions and events

    Desired Qualifications:

    • A passion and interest in beer!

    • Understanding of the value of working in a team environment spanning across departments.

    • The ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business i.e. weekends and holidays

    • Strong understanding of retail math, including profit margins and budgeting

In addition to the position’s core responsibilities, you will be expected to be involved with the many activities and initiatives present with a start-up, growth-oriented organization.

    Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Experience in making pizza

    • Washing dishes and cleaning various pieces of equipment

    • Stocking refrigerators and shelves (may require lifting moderately heavy items)

    • Reading and following recipes

    • Ensure customer satisfaction

    • Thinking critically in a fast-paced environment

    • Working with team members and individually

    • Preparing and portioning ingredients

    Desired qualities and qualifications:

    • Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required

    • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for up to eight hours

    • Experience working and a kitchen and/or banquet setting

    • Ability to work in an environment with minimal supervision

    • Provide excellent food and beverage service to Taproom guests.

    • Handle routine purchasing transactions, which include operating a POS terminal.
